As part of the M365 project, faculty can request an MS Team shell for a course starting September 13, 2021.
To request an MS Team course shell, faculty will fill out the IT Services M365 request form (available starting September 13), and the Team shell will be created and automatically populated for use this semester. Throughout the semester, the Team participants (students) will be auto-updated, including add/drops throughout the semester. The Team will be active from creation until the end of term.
Once a Team shell is created, faculty will be responsible for directing and monitoring the use of the Team and creating any channels. Resources for using MS Teams can be found here.
Faculty have the option to create and populate a Team independently without support from IT, however the Team members will not be automatically populated or auto-updated. Instructions on how to create a Team can be found here.
Please note: the creation of a Team may take 3-5 days after submitting a request.
