Science Cafe presents BREATHE: Protecting your health from wildfire smoke — Mar 18

As the climate continues to warm, extreme wildfires will likely increase. Join us on Tuesday, March 18 from noon to 1:30 pm at the UFV Chilliwack campus for a Science Cafe focused on the impacts of wildfire smoke on health and ways to protect yourself from smoke-filled skies.

Hear from Dr. Luisa Giles, School of Kinesiology; Dr. Anne-Marie Nicol, SFU Health Sciences; and Prem Gundarah, BREATHE Program Coordinator. There will also be a hands-on session to build DIY air cleaners for 20 attendees. We welcome everyone to this open event.

Light refreshments will be served. Bring a reusable coffee mug to help us with our sustainability goals.
