What do beer, bread & pickles have in common? Fermentation is one of the oldest methods of food preservation. Come listen to UFV alumnus and Old Yale Brewmaster Nick Fengler; UFV Food & Agriculture Institute’s Dr. Alesandros Glaros; Founder of Rise Baking Lab, Mark Hart; and Culinary Arts assistant professor, Sian Hurley at the next Science Cafe on Wednesday, Oct 9.
This event at the UFV Chilliwack library is open to everyone.
Bring a clean mason jar for the pickling demo and a reuseable coffee mug to help us meet sustainability goals. The Science Cafe runs 3 to 4:30 pm, however we do have a Canine-Assisted Mindfulness session from 1:30 to 2:30 pm which is also open to everyone.
