Coaching program for UFV Employees

UFV has partnered with CoachHub, an international leadership development platform for digital coaching. With CoachHub’s holistic coaching framework backed by behavioral science, participants will identify their strengths and areas for development, and use that information to build skills, behaviors, and resilience to reach their full potential.

Coaching is a personalized and goal-oriented form of support where a trained coach helps the employee enhance their skills, achieve specific objectives, and overcome challenges. It involves a collaborative process that empowers the employee to maximize their potential, improve performance, and make meaningful changes in their professional lives. Through active listening, questioning, and feedback, coaches facilitate self-discovery and guide clients towards finding their own solutions and strategies for success. Coaches are not mentors or consultants. This means that they will not provide the employee with tips or ready-made solutions.

Coaching is an investment for growth and development for employees and leaders. All employees accepted into the program will be required to:
● Commit to two, 45-minute coaching sessions per month for six months
● Believe that they have the ability to change and grow
● Take active steps to address goals
● Take responsibility for their behavior
● Be curious about who they are and where they want to go
● Be comfortable being challenged with new ways of thinking

The coaching program will run for a six-month period, from Apr 1 to Sep 30. Participants will be required to allocate their full 2024/2025 PD funds towards the program. HR will sponsor 25 participants to subsidize the remaining costs of the coaching program.
