Science Café returns with talk about diabetes — Nov 9

In time for Diabetes Awareness month in November, UFV’s Science Café returns Thurs, Nov 9 from noon to 1:30 pm with a discussion about living well with diabetes.

Come to the UFV Chilliwack library in building A at the Canada Education Park and learn about how diet and exercise can impact diabetes management.

The third edition of the Science Café features three knowledgeable guest speakers — UFV librarian and alumna Janelle Stzuhar (BGS ‘17), UFV instructor Sherri Leon Torres, and UFV professor Iris Lesser.

Science Cafés focus on current events in science and are presented in layperson’s language. Lesser, Torres, and Stzuhar will speak for 10 minutes each before taking questions, and librarian Martin Warkentin will act as moderator.

The event is free to attend and open to the public. Coffee and cookies will be served.

The Chilliwack library is in building A at the Canada Education Park (45190 Caen Avenue).
