Event alert – May 18 at Abbotsford Centre

This is an update regarding an upcoming event hosted by the Abbotsford Centre.

What do I need to know?
Increased traffic, pedestrian volume, and parking congestion may occur due to Jordan Peterson speaking at the Abbotsford Centre. This event is not affiliated with UFV, but the Centre does utilize parking lots on UFV grounds. As a result, UFV will have an increased security presence in place this evening to support the safety of members of the UFV community.

When?
Thursday, May 18
6:30pm – 9:30pm

What do I need to do?
Please be aware of the event and conscious of large crowds and heavier than usual traffic near campus. Please allow more time coming to UFV and when leaving after work. As always, you can contact Safety and Security in advance of the event for Safewalk services and request support from UFV Safety and Security personnel during the event.

Parking:
It is recommended students and employees park in Lots 1, 2 and 6-10 to avoid traffic and crowds during this event. Student and employee e-permits are valid in these lots. Please Note: UFV parking permits are not valid on city streets.
