The UFV Cyber Security team is preparing to introduce a new security enhancement for UFV accounts. After September 22, UFV students and employees may receive an email alerting them to a suspicious sign-on attempt using their UFV account. This new feature is to ensure employees and students that may be at risk are notified of the sign-in and can react quickly if the activity is suspicious.
What can I expect?
The Cyber Security team has automated the process; if your account is at risk, you will receive an email from UFV Cyber Security. The automated email will notify you of the date and time of the sign-in, the UFV email account used, the location of the sign-in, and instructions on the next steps to follow if you do not recognize the activity on your account. If the sign-in is known to you, you can disregard the email.
