This summer, self-serve password reset (SSPR) was made available to all UFV faculty and staff; if you haven’t enrolled for SSPR yet, please read below for more information.
What do I need to know?
In order to improve your UFV email security, UFV has implemented upgrades to our password and account protection processes. These improvements provide greater security and make it easier for you to ensure account protection and independently create and reset your passwords without going through the IT Service Desk.
Details:
SSPR is a one-time-only enrollment that gives you ownership over your passwords, without having to go through the IT Service Desk; once you’re set up, it is ready to use whenever you need to reset your password. For more information about SSPR, click here.
Until now, enrollment for SSPR has been voluntary for faculty and staff. With the migration to Exchange Online starting in October, enrollment for SSPR will be mandatory by Oct 30. If you’re not enrolled before Oct 30, you’ll get an automated prompt to enroll when logging in to your email and MS Teams.
