Self-Serve Password Reset (SSPR) for UFV Employees- Deadline October 30 2020

September 28, 2020

This summer, self-serve password reset (SSPR) was made available to all UFV faculty; if you haven’t enrolled for SSPR yet, please read below for more information.

What do I need to know?

In order to improve your UFV email security, UFV has implemented upgrades to our password and account protection processes. These improvements provide greater security and make it easier for you to ensure account protection and independently create and reset your passwords without going through the IT Service desk.

Details:

SSPR is a one-time-only enrollment that gives you ownership over your passwords, without having to go through the IT Service Desk; once you’re set up, it is ready to use whenever you need to reset your password. For more information about SSPR, click here.

Until now, SSPR has been voluntary enrollment for faculty and staff. With the migration to Exchange Online this fall, enrollment for SSPR is mandatory before October 30. If you don’t enroll before this date, you’ll be automatically prompted to enroll when you log into your email.
