UFV-SUS Food Bank reopens

We recognize that food insecurity is an ongoing issue in our UFV community. Students shouldn’t have to choose between textbooks, tuition, transportation costs, housing, and food. During these uncertain times, we understand that the need for additional support is even greater.

Thanks to generous donations from the Abbotsford Community Foundation, CIVL Radio, Envision Credit Union, and the Nick Taylor Golf Pro-Am, along with our ongoing monthly donors, we are able to provide grocery gift cards for students who may need some financial assistance in purchasing groceries and essential toiletries. We are able to send an e-gift card so that students can purchase the groceries they need without having to come to campus to pick up a physical hamper. Search “food bank” on the UFV page or click the link below to learn more and to submit a request.

While we are physically closed and not able to accept food donations at this time, for those able and willing to make a cash donation to the food bank program, it’s easy to do online. Please click here and select “UFV Food Bank” as the designation to ensure your donation is allocated correctly.
