Effective April 1, 2017, the responsibility for Housing Operations transitioned from Student Life to Ancillary Services. Responsibility for Residence Services will remain with Student Life. Historically, operating under the same Manager, Baker House: Housing Operations has focused on the business/operational needs of Baker House while Baker House: Residence Services has focused on the student wellness, development, and support needs of Baker House students.
In the new structure, Housing Operations and its staff member Caitlin O’Donoghue will report to Cameron Roy under the Ancillary Services department, while Residence Services and its manager Christine Zapisocki will continue to report to Kyle Baillie under the Student Life & Development department. It is our hope and expectation that this new structure will allow us to better align the business operations of the building with Finance and other Ancillary Services, while continuing to offer high-level student success services through Student Life & Development.
Cameron and Kyle would like to thank Caitlin and Christine for their input and professionalism as we worked collaboratively to make this reorganization a reality. We are confident that reorganizing the administrative aspects of the building will contribute to a better student experience.
