UFV is going to be part of BC’s largest tech conference. On March 14 and 15, the #BCTECH Summit will take over the Vancouver Convention Centre. This is an opportunity not only to bring together BC’s vibrant and innovative tech community but also the convergence of traditional industries, business leaders, government and academia that are now adopting tech in all facets of their businesses and programs.
UFV is a participant in #BCTECH, and will have a general UFV display at the event, as well as displays/presentations from the Agriculture Centre of Excellence and our Mechatronics program.
Lin Long’s project, titled Automating Mechanical Quality Assurance Tests for Medical Linear Accelerators, will be part of the Research Runway. The research team consists of Lin Long (Physics, UFV), Brandon VanGenderen (BC Cancer Agency and former UFV student), and Cameron Appeldorn (BC Cancer Agency).
Garry Fehr’s project, titled Surrey Biopods: Research, Training and Demonstration Greenhouses, will be part of the Tech Showcase.
