UFV Campus Recreation is repackaging its fitness class offerings for 2016, offering tremendous value to students, staff, and faculty through new pricing options.
In years past, Campus Rec had charged fitness class participants on a session-by-session basis. This year, participants will pay a flat rate to access a fitness class for the entire semester. Classes include Pilates (Mondays, 12 to 1 pm), Functional Fitness (Tuesdays, 12 to 1 pm), Yoga (Wednesdays, 1 to 2 pm) and Bellygroove (Fridays, 1 to 2 pm). These classes run once a week for a minimum of 10 weeks in Building E on the Abbotsford campus.
UFV employees can purchase a fitness class passes for $65.
The employee universal pass offers an even better value. For $80, you gain access to all four fitness classes for the semester (41 sessions in total). With the discount, that’s $1.83 per class.
The student rate for fitness classes is in the form of the student flex pass, which is $10 for eight classes ($1.25 per class).
“We believe the new universal pass will make fitness classes even more accessible to the UFV community,” said Steve Tuckwood, UFV director of athletics and campus recreation. “We’re excited to help students, staff, and faculty achieve their goals this year in terms of fitness, health and wellness, and lifestyle balance.”
