Screenshot-2015-03-06-06.39.46The Geography and the Environment department is offering a unique course open to students from all majors and programs this spring.

Geography 464 — U-District and Land Use Planning is an applied course that will include presentations to the planning consultants working on the Abbotsford campus/U-District plan. May will be lecture-based with June providing time for group projects and presentations.

This course will also include an opportunity to participate in the food systems symposium or dialogue in May. The symposium (in partnership with Aga Khan University East Africa Institute) will explore food systems within our region and also in East Africa and potentially as well in Punjab. Students interested in future of the university, land use planning and/or in funded internship opportunities in East Africa should consider taking this course. Information on the symposium and more details on funded internships can be found by emailing UFVAKYfoodevent@gmail.com
