A number of UFV email users have been recent recipients of suspicious messages. This is a reminder that if you receive a message you are not expecting and it does not look quite right, then by all means treat it with suspicion.
Two recent examples involve email received supposedly from the Canada Revenue Agency and PayPal. These messages contain corporate logo graphics to add an element of authenticity, even though they are not legitimate. Once again, we encourage our email community to remain vigilant for suspicious messages from any sender. If a message appears “fishy” it very likely is. The best practice is to not open such messages or click on any links embedded in them. Instead, these emails should be deleted immediately.
