UFV will be replacing all posted “emergency” signage over the next few weeks. Please see the attached NEW image. The new signage is much clearer and will provide the caller with concise expectations.
In addition to this change, UFV will also be moving the Call Centre in house with the creation of a Security Operations Centre (SOC).
In the event a call is placed to 911 from a cell phone or an outside (non-local) phone, the caller should advise Security or First Aid. This will assist in a coordinated response. If a call to 911 is placed from a cell phone, Security will have no way of knowing that there is an incident on campus, so a phone call is appreciated.
