UFV’s Cascades men’s basketball team had a strong home showing last weekend, beating the University of Calgary Dinos 71-56 Saturday after defeating the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns 79-69 Friday inside UFV’s Envision Athletic Centre.
The Cascades record is now 2-0, and the team will go on the road next weekend to face the University of Victoria Vikes in regular season action. The Dinos record in the Prairie Division of Canada West falls to 0-2.
“We have a team that is competitive, there was great team bonding tonight,” head coach Adam Friesen said Saturday.
“I am looking forward to the rest of the year to see how far we can go.”
