The SASI was honoured to host the new Consul General to Vancouver from India, Ms. Abhilasha Joshi on January 31, 2018 along with her colleague Ms. Gosain. SASI Faculty Associates and colleagues along with community members introduced themselves and their work and connections to India. Members of the Khalsa Diwan Society, Abbotsford were also in attendance. Ms. Joshi was impressed with UFV’s connections to India, including the success of its campus located in Chandigarh, India.
SASI staff provided Ms. Joshi a tour of the National Historic Site Gur Sikh Temple and Sikh Heritage Museum.
