Thanks for engaging in the visioning process.
Thoughtexchange is not like a traditional survey – it’s more like an ongoing conversation.
Here are a few instructions that should make your experience using this resource a little more hassle-free.
- If you’re visiting thoughtexchange for the first time, you’ll be asked to sign up for an account. Your answers are always anonymous, but registering allows you to keep track of, and make edits to, your thoughts and ratings. If you decide to register, your name and email address will not be associated with the thoughts and ratings you add. The UFV thoughtexchange leader will only be able to see that you’ve participated, but not which comments or ratings are yours. If you want to skip this step, enable the terms of use box at the bottom and click Continue.
- Next stop is the Introduction, where you’ll find instructions similar to these repeated.
- Click OK and you will be asked to provide some very broad information about your association with UFV. When you’re done, click OK to access the questions.
- There are three questions as part of this thoughtexchange.
- Q1: “What do you think are UFV’s most important values (our core beliefs)?”
- Q2: “What are your thoughts about our existing values and mission?”
- Q3: “How would you describe UFV’s mission (our core purpose) in fewer than 10 words?”
- To answer these questions, it may be helpful to refer to the sections called Mission and Values on this web page.
- For each question you will be asked to contribute as many thoughts as you like – there’s no limit. When you’re done adding thoughts, clicking the purple arrow on bottom right will advance you through to the Star and Discover steps and eventually back to the main Exchange page to access the other questions.
- You can add ideas to these questions and continue to review and star other ideas until the thoughtexchange closes in mid-November.
