Update: 5:30pm monday Dec. 19 – UFV monitoring the weather.

UFV is watching the weather closely as Environment Canada is predicting flurries overnight and into Tuesday morning.

As of this evening, all exams – remote and face-to-face – will proceed as scheduled. The status of UFV campuses will be updated at 6am on Tuesday, Dec. 20.

UFV Safety and Security, Facilities, Student Services, Communications, and other departments are watching the developing weather. Should the situation change, we will update our main communication channels (UFV Alert and UFV.ca) at 6am Tuesday.

Please leave plenty of extra time for your commute to and from UFV, and travel with care. If needed, crews will clear parking lots, walkways, and entrances.

Check UFV.ca for updates.

  1. Hello!
My professor had said if ufv closed tomorrow there might be a possibility of the final being moved to January. Would this be a realistic solution? I am worried that it would negatively impact my ability to do the exam since it would be so long since learning the content. I guess I would just like to know the procedure or options for the cancellations of exams due to the weather.

    • Hello Maya
Thanks for your question. As mentioned in the post above, as of this evening all exams are scheduled to proceed. If the situation changes due to the weather and UFV has to close, we will update you with more information at 6am tomorrow morning. Please check ufv.ca then for information. Good luck with your exam.
