LAKE, LEARNING AND LAUGHS! Stó:lō Riverboat Tour

What a great way to end our year in Human Resources! For our final department meeting of the year, we were fortunate enough experience an amazing Stó:lō place name tour on the Harrison Lake/River while riding in comfortable river boats, breathing in the fresh air and taking in the majestic mountain views. Sonny McHalsie, Cultural Advisor/Historian of the Stó:lō Research and Resource Management Centre was our guide for the day and taught us so much about the traditions, history, culture, language and stories of the Sto:lo people.

Thank you to Sonny and to the captains of our boats from BC Sportfishing Group for an unforgettable day which we would highly recommend. For more information, including booking arrangements, you can contact Bonnie Graham at Bonny.Graham@stolonation.bc.ca
