What do I need to know?
Sunbelt Rentals will be performing a scheduled maintenance check on the temporary generator located outside Building B on the Abbotsford campus. This is to ensure a consistent and reliable power supply.
To complete this work safely, there will be a temporary power shutdown affecting Buildings A, B, and C. UFV’s backup generator will keep the data center operational during this time to minimize service disruption.
When will this occur?
Friday August 29th, 2025, 6:00AM – 8:00AM.
Who is impacted?
• UFV employees and students accessing Buildings A, B, and C (Abbotsford campus) during the maintenance window.
• UFV employees using Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) to connect to their office devices in Buildings A, B, and C (Abbotsford campus).
Services Impacted:
• Power outage in Buildings A, B, and C (Abbotsford campus).
• Remote Desktop Connections will be unavailable if connecting to an office device in Buildings A, B, and C (Abbotsford campus).
