IT Cyber Security is dedicated to continuously improving and securing all UFV workstations. For continual protection of devices from major threats, it is important to control the use of commonly exploited applications used on the UFV devices. Many such applications do not require local admin rights to install and run, hence can be easily exploited for access.
What is changing?
The table below lists applications that will be blocked from execution on UFV devices after this change. The applications selected to block at this time are commonly used by attackers for establishing persistent connections and control of desktops. Preventing these applications from running keeps the malicious actors away from moving laterally from machine to machine.
