IT service outages are scheduled for Saturday, February 25.
When will this occur?
6pm – midnight Sat, Feb 25.
Wired and Wi-Fi network connections
Telephone service (excluding red emergency phones)
Remote desktop connections
Applications such as Banner, FAST, myUFV, and the UFV website
How long will outages last?
Services impacted will experience minor disruptions of 5-10 minutes throughout the outage window.
Who is impacted?
All users located on UFV campuses, users attempting to remote into their desktop computers, and anyone trying to access UFV services. Emergency phones will not be affected. Security can be contacted at their regular number 1-855-239-7654.
Why is this happening?
These service upgrades are the culmination of a two-year project to improve UFV’s network core. To minimize impact, this outage has been scheduled during the ITS Standard Maintenance Window.
