Connecting to Wi-Fi Eduroam – Insider Tips

Connecting to UFV’s free Wi-Fi Eduroam changed as of Dec 22, 2022. All employees and students must reconnect to Wi-Fi on all laptops, phones, and tablets.

What do I need to do?

  1. On your device, select eduroam-help from the list of available Wi-Fi networks
  2. Follow the directions for your device type
  3. Sign in using your UFV email and password

Need Help Troubleshooting?

The following insider tips can help you navigate this change on your specific device:

  • If you connected to Eduroam before Dec 22, you may need to forget the network and re-connect using your UFV email and password.
  • Mac users may need to connect to a personal hotspot before selecting eduroam-help in the list of available networks.
  • Mac users will need to open cat.eduroam.org on Google Chrome instead of Safari and follow the eduroam-help directions.
  • Chromebook users will require manual setup instead of following the eduroam-help directions. We encourage these users to stop by our IT Service Desk locations.
