With the world in flux, artist Sharon Strauss feels more strongly than ever that representation matters. Time and technology march ever onward, but social change can be slow to follow. Mental health, disabilities, economic status, ethnicity, sexuality, and gender expression: all are core components of who we are and how we are seen. And we all deserve to be seen for who we are.
With this comic, titled Our Charmed Circle, CHASI aims to explore the issues we face, the world we live in, and how we find the strength to forge an identity in an ever-changing political landscape.
The comic launched on February 23, 2023 and is released through CHASI’s social media platforms and blog, as well as in print in The Cascade.
