Updates
New corner windows look and feel
The new windows add a light and airy feeling to A302.
New panels added to the north side
The final panels are being added to the north side of A-East. They are covered in plastic for protection and will be revealed as the scaffolding comes down in March!
Curious as to how the building will look?
New signage has been added to the hoarding around A-East with the anticipated final look and feel of the buildings!
A402 flooring replacement
And we’ve replaced the outdated carpeting in A402 with this fabulous shiny new floor!
Upgrades now underway
Facilities is taking advantage of the empty building and has started painting the corridors on all three floors and polishing the floor on the 2nd level.
First look at exterior panels
The first panel was installed last week. The panels will be kept covered to protect them during installation, but here’s a glimpse of the new look!
Spirit Bear Cafe
Over the weekend, the Spirit Bear sitting area was boarded up so work can happen inside. Tentative reopening of the seating area is late February/early March but the cafe itself will be open for coffee lovers on January 6!
First look at our new windows!
We reached an important milestone today with the installation of the first set of windows. Engineers were onsite to inspect the work on this crisp, but sunny day.
Classrooms ready for new windows
As the project moves forward, the classrooms and offices are now construction areas and being prepared for window replacement. Floor to ceiling plastic sheeting is being used to protect the interior of the building from dust during the work. As well, our Information Technology Services team has been busy protecting our audio visual equipment to ensure nothing is damaged during the renovations.
