UFV alumni invited to reconnect at Vancouver FC Alumni Night

For many alumni, some of the strongest memories of university aren’t just lectures or exams — they’re the friendships, mentors, and experiences that helped shape who they became.
While convocation marks the end of one chapter, it also marks the beginning of another. As alumni, UFV graduates remain part of a community that now includes more than 56,000 people living and working throughout the Fraser Valley and beyond.
On Friday, July 24, the UFV Alumni Association is inviting alumni to reconnect during Vancouver FC’s inaugural Alumni Night at the Langley Events Centre.
The evening will bring together alumni from the University of the Fraser Valley and Kwantlen Polytechnic University for a night of soccer, live music, family-friendly activities, and an opportunity to reconnect with classmates while cheering on Vancouver FC as they take on Cavalry FC.
“It’s always exciting to see alumni reconnect with one another,” says Bryan Candy (BA ’08), who plans to attend the event. “University is about more than earning a degree — it’s about the people you meet and the community you become part of. Alumni Night is a great excuse to get together again.”
The event reflects the Alumni Association’s ongoing commitment to creating opportunities for alumni to stay connected with one another and with the university. Through networking events, volunteer opportunities, awards, and community gatherings, the association helps foster relationships that continue long after graduation.
Whether you graduated this past June or decades ago, Alumni Night offers an opportunity to reconnect with familiar faces, make new memories, and celebrate the community that continues long after crossing the convocation stage.
