UFV to honour employees at excellence awards event
UFV will honour six employees and one group of employees with excellence awards at a special recognition ceremony on June 16.
Each year, the university invites nominations in a number of categories.
This year’s recipients include:
- Priscilla Ang, Counselling Department Head — Staff Excellence
- Dr. Jelena Brcic, Associate Professor, School of Business — Research Excellence
- The Brightspace Implementation Team — Teamwork Excellence
- Mark Brosinski, Director, Budgets and Resource Planning — Leadership Excellence
- Mary Stewart. Associate Professor, Modern Languages (post-humous award) — Indigenization and Reconciliation Excellence
- Dr. Brianna Strumm, Associate Professor, Social Work and Human Services — Teaching Excellence.
In addition, Dr. Lolehawk Buker, Associate Professor, Indigenous Studies, recently received a West Coast Teaching Excellence Award from the BC Teaching and Learning Council. She will also be honoured at the recognition event.
