UFV phasing out cash payment for tuition, student fees, and housing rental fees
Changes are coming to how UFV students pay their tuition and other fees.
On September 3, 2019 UFV will begin to phase out acceptance of cash payments for student tuition, student fees, and housing rental fees.
Eliminating cash helps preserve the integrity of the post-secondary financial process, supports the safety and security of students’ payments, and follows best practices already adopted by many post-secondary institutes in BC and across Canada.
Please note: cash will continue to be accepted for all fees not directly related to tuition, student fees, and housing rental fees.
Campus outlets, including the UFV bookstore, food services, coffee outlets, and the campus card office will continue to accept cash.
Here are some FAQ’s on this process.
UFV continues to offer a variety of payment options for tuition and student fees, and housing rental fees:
- Online banking (bill payment from Canadian financial institutions only)
- Debit card and debit credit card in-person transactions
- Cheque
- Bank draft
- Money order
- Wire transfer through Western Union – WU GlobalPay
- Credit cards can only be used to pay for International and Continuing Education tuition, and housing rental fees.
