Follow the Champions for Health in Antigua
Students from the Kinesiology and Teacher Education programs are currently in Antigua, West Indies, for the 2016 Champions for Health Promoting Schools program. This is the eighth year that kinesiology professor Joanna Sheppard has led UFV students volunteering on the island (and the 11th year of the program).A total of 21 students from UFV are participating in the four-week life skills teaching internship in a total of eight schools. Working side by side with local educators, the students are promoting physical and health education in innovative and effective ways to enrich the quality of teaching and learning in classrooms as well as in the field.You can follow along on their blog here.
