Student Union Society presenting all-candidates’ debates at UFV

DEbategraphicUFV students will have the chance to hear from local candidates in the federal election at all-candidates’ debates to be held on the Abbotsford and Chilliwack campuses on October 1 and 8, respectively.

The debates are being presented and organized by the UFV Student Union Society. UFV political scientist and associate professor Hamish Telford will moderate the events.

All candidates have been invited to take part in the debates.

First up are events featuring Abbotsford and Mission-Matsqui-Fraser Canyon candidates on Thurs, Oct 1. Abbotsford candidates will present their views and answer questions at noon, followed by Mission-Matsqui-Fraser Canyon candidates at 2 pm. Both debates will be held in the atrium of the new Student Union Building on the Abbotsford campus.

Chilliwack students will get their chance to hear from the candidates on Thurs, Oct 8, at noon in the atrium of the Chilliwack campus at Canada Education Park.

The public is welcome to attend the debates.
