UFV Health Sciences speaker series welcomes Dr. Sonya Grypma

Sonja GrypmaUFV’s Faculty of Health Sciences speaker series continues Monday, Oct. 21 with a presentation by Dr. Sonya Grypma, Dean of Trinity Western University’s school of nursing.

Hosted collaboratively by the University of the Fraser Valley’s Dean of Health Sciences Joanne MacLean, Provost and Vice-President Eric Davis, and Dean of the College of Arts Jacqueline Nolte, Dr. Grypma’s presentation is titled: Nursing, history and historical amnesia — A case for crossing disciplinary boundaries.

Dr. Grypma will share her research on the topic of the history of nursing, particularly the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration, as illustrated in her work between nursing and history.

A panel of faculty members and students will provide response and discussion.

The public is welcome to attend this event. The presentation will be followed by a reception.

The event will be held in the atrium of UFV’s Chilliwack campus at Canada Education Park at 4 p.m.
