Campus Cards have mighty powers — got yours?
UFV’s Campus Cards might not look larger this year — but they’re stuffed with books, meals, and deals like never before.
Having served as library cards and student and employee ID cards for years, they can now be pre-loaded with cash — in person, or by calling the Campus Card office. Parents can chip in too, ensuring students have fast access to university necessities like food, school supplies, and even strong coffee.
“The goal is to streamline the process for students by providing one card to access a multitude of services,” says Campus Card coordinator Sheila St. Laurent.
Serving as an all-encompassing campus catch-all, Campus Cards have three fund allocations: one for meal plans, one for Cascade funds (Bookstore, etc.), and another for printing/photocopying.
“Parents love it because when they deposit money into the card, they know where it’s going. If a student needs supplies from the Bookstore, they’re set. It even saves students from fishing in pockets, purses, or backpacks for coffee change.”
Better yet, Campus Cards can be powered up with a U-Pass sticker though UFV’s Student Union Society, paving the way to free use of local recreational facilities and transit, plus exclusive deals throughout the Fraser Valley.
