UFV Cascade basketball teams to face Saskatchewan Huskies in Canada West quarterfinals

The University of the Fraser Valley Cascades men’s and women’s basketball programs are headed to the 2013 Canada West conference quarterfinal playoffs, in different locations. The women will host the University of Saskatchewan Huskies at the Envision Athletic Centre and the men will travel to Saskatoon to face the Huskies. The playoffs commence this Thurs, February 21, and run through Sunday, February 24. They are both best-of-three series, so the third game is based on the results of the first two days.  The Cascades women’s basketball team won the 2013 Pacific Division regular season championship with a school-record 18-4 mark. They will play their first post-season game on Thursday (Feb 21) while men’s basketball team start on Fri, Feb 22 at Saskatchewan against the 2013 Prairie Division regular-season champion Huskies.

The games will be broadcast live via Canada West.TV Conference web site at www.canadawest.org or at www.ufvcascades.ca
