UFV School of Continuing Education is running Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers (HCP) in person at the Clearbrook Centre on Saturday, Nov 1, from 8 am-noon.
This course is designed to build participant confidence in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills in a team environment for professionals with a duty to respond such as:
- In-facility care providers, including nursing staff, care aides, and allied health professionals
- Medical and dental professionals
- Pre-hospital care providers, which may include professional in a fire service, search and rescue, sports-medicine, lifeguards and ski-patrol.
Learn the important steps to perform a rapid assessment, perform Basic Life Support (BLS) skills, and perform rapid defibrillation including use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). 1-year certification.
This course meets the CPR requirement for the UFV LPN Access to Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.
