This introductory one-day course is suitable for beginners looking to enhance their welding skills, whether to boost employability or to pursue as as passionate hobbyist. It is strongly recommended for agriculture students. This course covers all widely used welding processes, with the most common electrodes and the safe operation of oxy-fuel cutting equipment.
Wear cotton or wool clothing (no synthetic fibers), coveralls, and steel-toed boots. If you do not bring appropriate clothing and footwear, your access to the welding shop will be limited.
Bring a cap (or welding helmet if you have one), welding gloves and safety glasses as supply of equipment to borrow is limited.
Hair should be tied back.
