Update: EV charger installation – Gillis Ave Disruptions: July 10–15

Dear UFV faculty and staff,

As part of our efforts to enhance sustainable transportation options on campus, installation work for new electric vehicle (EV) chargers will take place in Lot 10, with associated impacts along Gillis Avenue from Thursday, July 10 to Tuesday, July 15.

What to expect:

  • Temporary lane closures on Gillis Ave with single-lane alternating traffic directed by signage
  • Construction noise during working hours
  • No power outages
  • No impact to the UFV campus shuttle
  • Parking lot 10 will remain accessible
  • Existing EV charging stations will continue to operate normally

Thank you for your patience and continued support as we continue to make UFV a more sustainable campus. Visit
