Call for nominations to serve on the UFV Senate and Board of Governors

Be part of governance at UFV.

The Secretariat office is calling for nominations for seven faculty positions on the Senate, and one faculty and one staff position on the Board of Governors, for a three-year term running from Aug 1, 2025 to July 31, 2028.

The Board of Governors oversees management, administration, and control of the property, revenue, business, and affairs of the university. For further information on board membership and its responsibilities, please follow this link.

The Senate is the senior academic governing body at UFV, setting policies and procedures concerning educational matters, and acting as an advisor to inform decisions made by the university board. One faculty member is required for the following faculties:

– Applied and Technical Studies
– Business and Computing
– Education, Community and Human Development
– Health Sciences
– Humanities
– Science
– Social Sciences

If you are interested in a Senate or Board of Governor role, please complete the nomination form available on the Secretariat website before the deadline of Feb 2 at 4 pm. Late nominations will not be accepted. If more than one nomination is received for a position, an election will follow.
