in common Speakers’ Series: What do Roman Catholics and Buddhists think about Sex and Intimacy? — Sept 19

in common Speakers’ Series presents a compelling discussion on Thursday, September 19, at the UFV Abbotsford campus. What do Roman Catholics and Buddhists think about sex and intimacy? From 12:15 to 1:30 pm in room A305, Cheryl Unruh offers the Roman Catholic viewpoint while Buddhist monk Gen Sanden responds in a talk moderated by UFV’s Dr. Allyson Jule.

The conversation is presented by the Peace and Reconciliation Centre (PARC). Jule is PARC’s Interfaith Faculty Associate.

The vision of PARC is to be a safe, supportive, and peaceful place to promote dialogue, research, scholarly, and artistic work for faculty, students, and community to approach differences, conflicts, activism, and the challenges of life in a way that works for the good of the individual, the community, and the world we live in. This speaker series aims to educate and inspire UFV students on issues related to religious ideas and communities in the Fraser Valley. The series encourages meaningful conversations within the UFV community, exploring shared values across various faiths and beliefs.

This is a free UFV community event, and pizza will be provided. Pre-registration is not required, however, it is appreciated for pizza numbers.

UFV Student Wellness will be onsite offering sexual education resources, including make and take sexual SWAG bags.
