CityStudio Chilliwack invites UFV’s students, faculty and staff to the semi-annual HUBBUB showcase on Tuesday, April 9, between 2-4 pm at Chilliwack City Hall.
Students will showcase posters from such disciplines as Geography, Communications, Nursing, Statistics and English, showcasing the multi-disciplinary approach of the CityStudio model. The projects explore critically important community issues including sustainability in recycling, traffic pathways and congestion, integration of culture in city life, and the innovative ways to conserve water in today’s climate emergency. Guests of the event will learn about the ways that poetry can come to life around us, and better understand the challenges in dealing with the busiest traffic corridors in Chilliwack. They will gain a greater appreciation of water conservation and get a chance to learn about hard facts as well as myths around recycling, and its impact on the environment
For students, the HUBBUB is an exciting way to showcase the skills gained while working on these community-engaged projects. Join us for an afternoon of idea sharing, and networking in the name of community improvement.
