COLLEGE STUDENT RETENTION PROGRAM (CSRP)
OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAM
To provide additional career incentives to those college or university students in Fulltime studies who traditionally leave our company at the end of the seasonal periods to return to school.
To build company loyalty and encourage students to consider a career at Costco when they graduate.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Hourly employees only.
Full-time college or university students pursuing an undergraduate degree.
COMPONENTS AND PROCESS
Participation will enable participants to retain:
Their original hire dates
Their accumulated hours toward their next wage increase.
Participants must remain a full-time student status (minimum 12 credits per semester)
Participants must be available to work when not engaged in school, without restrictions on hours.
Participants can work a maximum of 20 hours per week when engaged in full-time school.
Participants must work at least 200 hours in a 12-month period to remain eligible for this program.
Participants must provide a school schedule; and complete a new CSRP enrolment and availability Form (PR03) to be approved by the location manager each time they leave for school or at the end of each seasonal period.
Note that failure to meet current or any future eligibility requirements will result in the participant’s removal from the program.
