Darin Lee will join the University of the Fraser Valley as Chief Information Officer (CIO) effective March 7, 2016.
Lee brings extensive university experience leading enterprise-level information system initiatives and aligning strategic organizational goals with innovative technology-based solutions. He is an exceptional communicator with a strong reputation for building collaborative relationships bridging both academic and administrative business units. Since 2011, Lee has been employed at OCAD University, serving as the Director, Enterprise Resource Planning Implementation. In this role he led a cross-functional team in a multi-year, pan-university systems project involving changes in processes, culture, and technology.
Lee holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Mount Allison University, and has completed the Application and Management of Information Technology (AMIT) program, and a Master’s Certificate for Business Analysts from University of Victoria. He is also a Change Management Certified Professional through ProSci Methodology.
His extensive experience in complex technology environments and proven record of implementing solutions benefiting the student experience make him a strong choice for UFV’s first CIO. As part of the University’s leadership team, Lee will take on the important role of developing UFV’s strategic technology plan.
