Led by Mark from Restorative Cycle, this workshop is geared towards those who want to learn the very basic basics of fun and safe cycling – from hand signals and where to ride along roads, to lights and reflectors, to pumping up your tires and oiling your chain. No bike required to participate!
After an interactive workshop and prizes, for anyone who has their bike with them, we will head out for a very chill-paced 5km ride along the Vedder river rotary trail – followed by snacks and drinks.
For questions and to register for this workshop, please email carolyn.putt@gmail.com.
• Please also inform us about any accessibility needs so that we can arrange appropriate accommodations. This workshop would be suitable to those new to riding, new immigrants to Canada, or adults with developmental disabilities.
• Free to attend and open to the public.
• Anyone parking on campus needs to pay the parking fees.
