Explore Trades Sampler — June 8 to Aug 28

UFV’s Explore Trades Sampler program takes place from June 8-Aug 28. This in-person course is ideal for students, young adults, or women wishing to learn practical skills, gain general employment certifications, and explore trades careers.

The 12-week full time program (9 am to 3 pm Mon-Fri) takes place at the UFV Chilliwack Trades & Technology Centre, and the cost is $1,874.75.

Explore a variety of trades—including automotive service, carpentry, electrical, plumbing and piping, and welding — and to acquire basic skills that will prove fundamental if you decide to become a tradesperson. At the end of the program, you’ll be certified in Forklift Truck, First Aid, and Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS), and you’ll be ready to enter trade foundation training or seek an apprenticeship in the trade of your choice.

Cotton coveralls and CSA-approved steel toed boots are required.
