UFV’s next strategic plan — complete the survey by May 3

This message is sent on behalf of Dr. James Mandigo, President and Vice-Chancellor, University of the Fraser Valley

Dear UFV students, faculty, and staff,

As we look ahead to the next chapter of the University of the Fraser Valley, we are undertaking a thoughtful refresh of our Integrated Strategic Plan—one that reflects both who we are today and who we aspire to become.

Why this matters:

This work builds on the foundation of Íyáqáwtxw—House of Transformation, our current plan, and is being led through the President’s Office in collaboration with consultant Lorne Mackenzie, Professor Emeritus and retired Associate Professor in the School of Business.

Grounded in meaningful engagement with our students, faculty, staff, alumni, partners, and communities, this process invites us to listen carefully, learn from one another, and shape a shared path forward.

How your input will be used:

Your feedback will help:

  • identify areas of strength to build on
  • highlight emerging priorities
  • inform where we focus our efforts and resources in the years ahead

It will also guide further conversations, including focus groups and broader engagement across the university.

To support your participation, you may find it helpful to review our current plan and recent progress:

I encourage you to take time to complete the survey by May 3, 2026. Your voice is essential in ensuring that our path forward reflects who we are and who we aspire to be as a university.

Thank you for your continued commitment to our community and to our shared future.
