Basic life support for healthcare providers — May 14

A course taking place Thursday, May 14 from 5-9 pm at UFV’s Clearbrook Centre is designed to build participant confidence in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills in a team environment.

Students learn the important steps in performing a rapid assessment, performing basic life support skills, and performing rapid defibrillation. This day course provides students with a one-year certification.

It is beneficial for professionals with a duty to respond, such as: In-facility care providers, including nursing staff, care aides, and allied health professionals; medical and dental professionals; and pre-hospital care providers, which may include professionals in fire service, search and rescue, sports medicine, lifeguards, and ski patrol.
