Another “Walt” Is Possible: Pluriversal Sovereignty and Decolonial Development — Feb 25

The School of Social Justice and Global Stewardship/ GDS program invites students, faculty, and community members to a public talk by Dr. Ajay Parasram, Associate Professor of International Development Studies and History at Dalhousie University.

In his lecture, “Another ‘Walt’ is Possible: Pluriversal Sovereignty, Imperial Political Economy, and Decolonial Development,” Dr. Parasram draws on his award-winning research to challenge conventional ideas of development and to highlight decolonial, plural approaches to sovereignty and global political economy. His work offers important perspectives for anyone interested in global justice, history, and critical development studies.
