This panel discussion features:
Alex Neve – 2025 Massey Lecturer and former Secretary General of Amnesty International Canada.
Adam Gaudry – Interim Dean of Native Studies, University of Alberta.
Dr. Kirsten Van Houten – UFV Assistant Professor, School of Social Justice and Global Stewardship.
Together, they co-edited Hand-in-Hand? Canada at the Human Rights and Peacebuilding Nexus, a book published in 2024 that critically examines Canadian policy and practice on human rights and peacebuilding.
At this panel, the editors and contributors will share insights from their chapters and reflect on what has changed in Canada’s human rights and peacebuilding landscape over the last year.
