Construction on UFV’s new student housing project on the Abbotsford campus requires Gillis Avenue to be shut down from March 21-31. Work will take place from Monday, March 24 to Friday, March 28, however vehicle access and an alternate pedestrian route will be in place from Saturday, March 21 to Sunday, March 30.
The work includes connecting power, and Telus to the new building, and may be disruptive to occupants of Lá:lem te Baker. Vibrations could also carry to other buildings in the vicinity. The most disruptive work will be the excavation of the road and sidewalks, and compaction testing.
Please pay close attention to posted signage along Gillis Avenue.
